We are fighting the wrong enemy

“So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you do not fall.”

That is just one of the phrases Paul the apostle used in his letters to guide either the Corinthians, Thessalonians or the Romans. View the statement in any context, it surely makes sense. It is not by doubt that Paul the apostle said what he said out of love.
I think we have been standing for long in vain. This time, we don’t even need to have a seat, we need to lay down and sleep. If you would have asked me two weeks ago about the covid-19 pandemic, I would tell you.

“its gonna be alright, for what is worth, if it kills, it will kill all of us.”

The whole narrative changed and those who have money are ready to risk it all to those who don’t have anything. The whole dynamic is that we are busy hiding under the good deeds like giving food to the poor but where was that kind of attitude ‘pre-corona’ period.

Mental health education will be one of the biggest scams after the pandemic. We have been laughing, basically having a good time before corona but underneath taking Adderall and all kinds of antidepressants. We are being tested by the universe and so far, I am not doing that good.

Pain is inevitable.

“is there a God up there, so where does He hide, cause the devil is raging inside my mind.”

Life under the lock-down seems to be very hard physically, economically and mentally. The fact that students will be told to pay the total amount of school fees and google zoom offers free services, shows a certain degree of greed.  Nothing is for free and under this circumstances, it is becoming difficult, every day.

We are changing to a ‘new normal’ but there plenty of negativity going viral, there is a pain invitation going around. By now, you have heard of suicidal cases due to the quarantine measures. From a far suicide looks like a pain reliever as well as a pain giver. “Strong people do cry” but what is the sense in that when the scars beneath are changing into wounds.

The first time I heard “man eat man society” I thought it was just a cliché. I am seeing it every day, it’s a matter of time, and it gets to us, the fortunate at home.

The good, the bad and the Chinese
At least Wuhan has lifted up its restriction within the country and all the last patients have been discharged. Learning from past epidemics, Senegal is making much progress with its covid-19 testing, giving the citizens hope.

Western countries, the USA and countries in Europe are still in a dilemma, Trump seems confused and still there is no assurance of safety even when they lift up any of their restrictions.

My view is that, greed will never change its form. The phrase “maskini atazidi kuwa maskini na tajiri ataendelea kuwa tajiri” (the poor will remain poor and the rich will be richer) is evidently seen.
